He works closely with business leaders and organisations to strengthen fiscal management frameworks, enhance reporting quality, and support sustainable growth through practical, insight-driven solutions. A dual-qualified Chartered Accountant recognised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Bassey brings experience across professional practice and industry. Before co-founding Gimbs & Gebs Consulting, he held senior finance and leadership roles including Audit Manager at John Holt Plc, Accountant Manager at Coscharis Motors, Head of Accounts & Administration at The Civic Centre Limited, Chief Financial Officer at Pierscon Nigeria Limited, and Chief Financial Officer at MoneyBox Africa, gaining broad exposure to corporate governance, financial strategy, and organisational transformation across multiple sectors. His expertise spans financial reporting under IFRS and FRS 102, management accounting, tax advisory oversight, accounting system implementation, and financial process improvement. He previously served on the ICAN Council Board on Taxation and Fiscal Policy, contributing to professional and policy discussions shaping taxation practice and fiscal governance. Bassey holds a BSc in Accounting from the prestigious University of Lagos and an MSc in Accounting & Finance from Robert Gordon University in the United Kingdom. He is also a Business Finance Professional (BFP) and is currently a PhD researcher focusing on the evolution of corporate reporting and ESG integration.
